On March 21, 2025, the Russian-Qatari Commission of the IPC supported the proposals of the AKIT of the Russian Federation on the development of cooperation between the SEZ Issues related to the development of cooperation between the special and free economic zones of Russia and Qatar were included in the final protocol following the 5th meeting of the Joint Russian-Qatari Commission on Trade, Economic and Technical Cooperation. According to the document, the parties agreed to develop cooperation between the special and free economic zones of the two countries, including attracting investors to the free zones, implementing joint programs, educational and research projects, organizing business missions and sharing experiences. "The inclusion of the proposals of the AKIT of the Russian Federation in the final protocol of the Russian-Qatari Commission demonstrates the high importance of developing international cooperation to increase the competitiveness of Russian special economic zones and attract foreign investment. We are confident that the intensification of cooperation with Qatari partners will allow us to implement a number of promising projects and exchange best practices in the field of creation and management of territories with preferential treatment," said Mikhail Labudin, Director of the Association of Clusters, Technoparks and SEZs of Russia.
