The Association of Clusters, Technoparks and SEZs of Russia, together with the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, has released an updated edition of the Business Navigator for Special Economic Zones of Russia.
"The business edition includes information on all 53 SEZs of our country, as well as the VIII National Rating of the investment attractiveness of the SEZ, which is an integral part of this document. Its goal is to identify the best areas for the comfortable implementation of investors' projects. The rating is based on a comprehensive assessment of investment attractiveness and conditions for attracting Russian and foreign investors. An important factor is the constant modernization of the rating methodology to comprehensively account for SEZ development trends," commented Mikhail Labudin, Director of the AKIT of the Russian Federation.
"In modern conditions, strengthening the economy of Russia's regions requires new solutions. The creation and development of special economic zones is one of the key tools in this process. I am confident that the publication will become a reliable assistant for investors and entrepreneurs seeking to open new horizons within the framework of Russia's special economic zones," Alexander Novak, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation.
Since the release of the first Business Navigator in 2017, the number of infrastructure sites has almost doubled, from 26 to 53, and the total investment in the SEZ has exceeded 6.3 trillion. rubles'.
"The government is constantly fine-tuning the SEZ mechanism. This year, the procedure for switching to tax monitoring has been simplified for residents. The regions' participation in the infrastructure cost recovery program has been expanded. We came up with the idea of creating an International Association of Free Economic Zones of the BRICS countries," Maxim Reshetnikov, Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation.
The publication describes in detail the specifics of the functioning of each type of SEZ: industrial, technical and innovative, port, and tourist and recreational. Investors will be able to learn about the availability of necessary infrastructure, the cost of renting land, tax benefits and other services provided to residents.
"In recent years, special economic zones have become centers of high technology and innovative production. The business Navigator, developed by the Association of Clusters, Technoparks and SEZs of Russia, is not only a source of information for investors, but also a platform for sharing best practices," Sergey Sobyanin, Mayor of Moscow.
The Business Navigator for Special Economic Zones of Russia is also distributed in the territories of friendly countries with the support of trade missions of the Russian Federation and representative offices of the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia abroad," added Mikhail Labudin, Director of the AKIT of the Russian Federation.
