The Association of Clusters, Technoparks and SEZs of Russia and the Orel region establish cooperation
Mikhail Labudin, Director of the Association of Clusters, Technoparks and SEZs of Russia, met with Andrey Klychkov, Governor of the Orel Region, in the Orel region. It discussed the possibilities of increasing the investment attractiveness of the region through the tools of territorial industrial development.
Following the meeting, the parties signed an agreement providing for cooperation in several areas: the creation of clusters and technology parks, the development of industrial infrastructure and increasing the investment attractiveness of the region, the creation of territories with preferential treatment, the development and strengthening of interregional and international relations of the Orel region in the field of scientific and technical development, industrial cooperation and exports.
"We have identified the possibility of creating industrial clusters and NPC BAS in the territory of the Orel region. At the same time, the Orel region has a positive experience in receiving government support measures for the development of infrastructure facilities. So in 2022, the Region 57 industrial Park became one of the recipients of the subsidy, and other sites also have the opportunity to receive such support in 2025. I would like to note that the existing Orel SEZ is currently in 20th place in the VIII National Rating of Investment Attractiveness of the SEZ of Russia in 2024. We have identified possible growth points for the SEZ in terms of developing cooperation between residents, developing digitalization within the SEZ, and improving the competencies of the management team through participation in the Territory Development Leaders educational program," said Mikhail Labudin.
Mikhail Labudin also took part in the Second Interregional exhibition Forum "A new industrialist from Orel to the whole of Russia." At the plenary session "Industrial tourism and tools for territorial industrial development as drivers of regional growth", he spoke about the practical aspects of using tools for territorial industrial development.
As part of the trip, the director of the AKIT of the Russian Federation visited a number of industrial enterprises in the city of Orel.
