Russia will host the second International SEZ Forum
On October 3 and 4, the second international forum of special economic zones - 2024 will be held in Dubna near Moscow. The event is organized by the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia, the Association of Clusters, Technoparks and SEZs of Russia, the Government of the Moscow Region, and the Dubna Special Economic Zone.
Alexander Novak, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, will take part in the event:
"Special economic zones continue to be one of the key tools for the development of territories, attracting investment in priority industries, creating points of economic growth, and forming entire industry clusters. The International SEZ Forum, which is being held for the second year in a row, is becoming an important platform for discussion of development prospects and interaction between domestic and foreign SEZs by management teams of such investment sites, manufacturing companies and investors. This year we have invited colleagues from BRICS countries, the Republic of Belarus, Iran, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and the UAE to Dubna near Moscow to continue the work started a year ago on sharing experience, establishing mutually beneficial partnerships and building new cooperative ties. I am confident that the work at the Forum will be productive and will allow us and our colleagues from friendly countries to implement more joint projects in promising areas of cooperation," said Alexander Novak.
The forum will include business meetings and negotiations with Russian and foreign investors to create strong business ties and implement investment projects. Dialogues will also be organized between representatives of business and government agencies to discuss the prospects for the development of domestic special economic zones.
Special attention will be paid to discussing the implementation of sustainable development principles in the activities of infrastructure sites. Demonstration of opportunities for Russian business, industrial infrastructure and preferential regimes will also form an important part of the event program.
The Forum will become an international platform that will bring together representatives of the BRICS countries to exchange experience and create promising partnerships.
