Director of The Association of Clusters, Technology Parks and SEZ of Russia Andrey Shpilenko took part in the work of the International Industrial Exhibition «Innoprom Central Asia» in Uzbekistan as part of the Russian delegation.

Andrey Shpilenko took part in two working sessions, one of which he moderated, and on the other he made a report «Russian industrial zones abroad: opportunities for international cooperation».

«Uzbekistan today is the leading country of Central Asia and one of the most important partners of the Russian Federation, with which we have historically the warmest and best relations. Now is the time to intensify mutual cooperation - to enter each other's value chains and create common, implement the necessary projects on the existing infrastructure. On the sidelines of the exhibition, our delegation managed to agree on a number of mutually beneficial decisions and projects», - Andrey Shpilenko said.

On the first day of work at Innoprom, a plenary session «Central Asia: space for a technological breakthrough» was held. It brought together heads of government blocks responsible for industrial policy from Russia, Uzbekistan, member countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and other trade and economic partners states of Central Asia. During the session, strategies and successful examples of work in the markets of the Republic were presented.

It was discussed that the growth drivers for the economy of Russia and the countries of the southeastern region could be joint infrastructure projects of the countries that are members of the BRICS, SCO and EAEU. Such cooperation in the field of development of railway logistics can serve as an example. Russia has been exporting railcars and traction rolling stock to the EAEU countries for a long time and is ready to increase deliveries. No less important is the cooperation of friendly countries in the direction of energy security.
