SEZ TECHNOPOLIS MOSCOW HAS BEEN PRESENTED TO THE ARAB WORLD

Igor Ishchenko, the CEO of SEZ Technopolis Moscow took part in the XII session of the Russian-Arab business Council within the IV international exhibition "Arabia-Expo".

At the panel discussion "Investment attractiveness of Moscow: opportunities for investors from around the world", the head of the capital's SEZ spoke about the advantages of localization on the industrial site.

"The Moscow special economic zone covers several industries, including microelectronics, high-tech production, medicine, energy-efficient, information and nanotechnology. There is a system of tax benefits, - said Igor Ishchenko. - A biopharmaceutical cluster was created, which brought more than 20 residents together. It may include other companies working in the field of health care. Work is underway on the formation of a microelectronics cluster”.

"Arabia-Expo" is held in the Central exhibition hall "Manege" with the participation of 22 Arab countries and 85 regions of Russia. The exhibition consists of national stands, as well as stands of Arab and Russian companies. "Arabia-Expo" provides an opportunity for an open dialogue and exchange of views on the most important issues of the global economy and the Russian-Arab agenda.

The SEZ Technopolis Moscow is a specialized territory for the development of industrial, technical and innovative activities of the capital. Currently, 58 high-tech industries are located in the SEZ, which receive a number of preferences from the city: tax breaks, ready engineering infrastructure, free customs regime, etc. SEZ residents are engaged in development and innovation in the field of high-tech production, including microelectronics, instrument making, information and telecommunication technologies, medical equipment. Residents have already made investments in the development of their industries in the amount of about 18.5 billion rubles and created more than 5 thousand jobs.

Since the transfer of authority to manage the special economic zone Technopolis Moscow to the Moscow Government (supervised by the Department of Investment and Industrial Policy of Moscow), in September 2016, the pool of residents of the special economic zone was supplemented by 12 new residents, which totally invested 13 billion 605 million rubles. At the same time, as a result of project implementation, about 3 thousand new jobs will be created.
